The Miss Boston Pageant takes place this weekend, on February 23, as two more amazing women will take their next step towards Miss Massachusetts. Section 36 would like to wish all the women luck as they look to be crowned Miss Boston or Miss Cambridge.
Of course, one competitor gets special wishes.
Samantha McGraw was nice enough to visit with Section 36 last May, and we were thrilled by the chance to get to know her. As the only Section 36 visitor competing this weekend, we wish her the best of luck!
Unfortunately, this also means the end of the reign for another former Section 36 visitor.
Emily Thomas will crown her successor as Miss Cambridge on Sunday. We were lucky to have her visit Section 36 almost a year ago, and thank her for making us proud as she served her term.
Sunday also means a new Miss Boston's Outstanding Teen will be crowned. At last year's pageant, another future Section 36 visitor first wore the crown.
Carly Fisher didn't finish her term as Miss Boston's Outstanding Teen, since she was later crowned Miss Massachusetts's Outstanding Teen! What an incredible turn of events!
As a special treat, one more former visitor to Section 36 will be on stage Sunday night.
The emcee for the Teen event will be none other than the amazing Alissa Musto! Of course, when she visited Section 36 she had just been crowned Miss Cambridge, before going on to win the Miss Massachusetts title and then finish in the top 15 at Miss America! I'm guessing the event will call for attire other than that amazing tank top, but it will be fun to have Alissa on stage.
That will make four former Section 36 visitors at the pageant this weekend! I'm flattered to have that sort of representation at one event.
I wonder if they'll have a chance to take a group photo.
